Hi, everybody! You know, my mom always instilled a certain level of confidence and self assurance in me. I feel like that energy is just vibrating all around this room as we’ve had the opportunity to hear from these women who are constantly bringing their a game in such beautiful ways like Tems, the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Breakthrough award honoree.
In just a few short years since releasing her first EP “For Broken Ears,” this Nigerian singer/songwriter and record producer has captured the attention of fans all over the world. She earned her first Grammy with the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Wait For U.” Personal favorite. Her collaboration with Future & Drake. She was nominated for a Golden Globe, an Oscar and a Grammy for co-writing Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” for the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack. But beyond the awards and the collaborations with everyone from Justin Bieber to Beyonce, it all comes back to that voice, rich, resignate, undeniable. Pair that with her effortless confidence, style and flow and you’ve got someone who’s gonna be here for a really long time.
