Maren Morris accepts the Visionary award at Billboard’s Women In Music 2024.

Thank you Andra, I’m such a fan and I can’t with her beauty. This is such an honor. Billboard, thank you again. This is my second time here and I don’t really consider myself a visionary. I just, I have visions, I have delusions, so I appreciate, you know, getting a trophy for them. But no, honestly, this is my favorite thing about women and I would not have been able to survive this past year of my life. Not to get too serious but this year has been a lot and the women in my life have truly banded around me and kept me upright.
My favorite thing about my team and just women in general is like our visions, our ideas, our crazy theories, whatever it is, our ideas don’t just sit in a voice note. We like figure out how to execute them on the phone with each other the next day, and we make them real, and I feel like we’re the best at that. And I’m very fortunate most of my team are women so Janet Weir my manager. I love you so much. Thank you, Dallas. Everyone at 42, Darren, Meredith, Marlene at CAA. I know I’m forgetting a ton of people but and all my co-writers, just the people that have really kept me together. And Billboard, yeah, thank you again. This is such an honor and everyone that’s getting honored tonight deserves it so much. I’m a fan of all of them and I’m just excited to have a drink after this and enjoy the rest of the show.
